IT Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: United Kingdom. Working Monday through Friday in UK / Spain (Barcelona) timezones.

What you will do

• Set up, configure, and maintain MCP servers connecting AI systems with internal tools and data sources.
• Design and support hosting environments for internally built AI applications across lightweight PaaS deployments and AWS/GCP infrastructure.
• Manage AI agent infrastructure, including service accounts, API keys, permissions, rate limits, and access audits.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code deployments using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor uptime, performance, observability, and costs for AI-hosted applications.
• Partner with IT, Security, Engineering, and business stakeholders, acting as an escalation point and occasional project lead.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and/or DevOps engineering.
• Hands-on AWS and/or GCP experience with compute, networking, VPCs, IAM, and storage.
• Experience deploying applications across cloud infrastructure, containers, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, or Cloud Run.
• Practical knowledge of AI concepts including MCP servers and AI agents.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash, with Git and JSON/YAML experience.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, API integrations, Okta, OAuth, and SSO.

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlassian Rovo, Slack AI, Okta AI, ChatGPT, or Google Gemini.
• Experience with MCP servers or similar tooling.
• Cloud or AI platform certifications, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Anthropic.
