Site Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps): Supporting and developing AWS cloud infrastructure with an accent on high availability, scalability, security, and performance. Focus on managing Kubernetes infrastructure, solving complex technical problems, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Location: Remote from Austria, Germany, Spain, UK, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Croatia, or Poland.

What you will do

• Support and develop AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Docker, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis).
• Work with the team on primary goals: high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Manage Kubernetes infrastructure and Linux-based EC2 instances.
• Take over tasks in security management and monitoring.
• Support build management/deployment (GitLab, Maven, Docker).
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines together with developers.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role.
• Scripting skills in at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, Go.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Networking.
• In-depth knowledge of the following technologies: Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, Continuous Integration, GitLab.
• A good command of written and spoken technical English.
• Willingness to take part in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• A running or completed education in the field of computer science or engineering.
• Some experience with system monitoring platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Datadog).
