Salary: $78,000 - $107,250 with 15% incentive

What you will do

• Manage complex ocean marine bodily injury and property damage claims from coverage enquiry through to resolution.
• Confirm coverage by reviewing policies and drafting formal coverage position letters.
• Direct and monitor outside counsel and technical experts to ensure cost-effective litigation management.
• Evaluate liability and damages to determine the extent of insured exposure and set appropriate reserves.
• Negotiate and settle claims through direct negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to other team members and claims handlers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (JD or advanced degree is a plus).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in ocean marine, general liability, or equivalent insurance claims.
• Must hold or be eligible to receive claims adjuster licenses in all US states.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, mediations, and monitoring trials for high-value complex claims.
• Valid US Work Authorization is required (no visa sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

• Industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU, or AMIM.
• Experience with Commercial Auto products.
• Participation in industry training like CLM Claim College or Munich Re Training.
