What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using Python 3.11, Django, and DRF.
• Lead technical initiatives for payments infrastructure and external provider integrations.
• Drive improvements in system reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Manage architectural discussions and technical decision-making for the Payments domain.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure delivery of complex projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams or complex projects.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and system reliability.
• English: B2 level or higher.
• Russian: Fluent (C1).

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, banking, or highly regulated industries.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• History of leading system migrations or modernization initiatives.
