Associate Manager, Quality Assurance (QA Automation)

Location: Medina, Minnesota, United States. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $104,400–$130,500 per year, plus bonus or variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Supervise team members, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.
• Lead requirements analysis, test strategy creation, test case execution, issue troubleshooting, and defect reporting.
• Design, build, execute, and maintain portable, low-maintenance test automation for API, UI, and non-functional verification.
• Use CI/CD pipelines to build, configure, and patch multiple test environments.
• Lead complex manual functional and non-functional testing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, and international cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–8 years of professional experience and proven technical leadership experience.
• Ability to independently plan, execute, and deliver technical tasks.
• Established scripting skills in Python, Perl, and Shell.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as pytest, Playwright, or Selenium, plus manual and automated testing practices.
• Experience with source control, Linux and Windows environments, and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Technical team management experience.
• Experience with SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, configuration management, and Windows/Linux/UNIX servers.
• Experience with VMware virtualization, networking, and TCP/IP or SNMP.
• Utility industry experience with control system technology software.
