What you will do
- Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of performance, security, and operational acceptance testing across multiple projects.
- Define non-functional requirements and ensure traceability between requirements and test coverage.
- Perform load, stress, volume, and soak testing to identify bottlenecks and scalability issues.
- Collaborate with security teams and third-party suppliers to manage penetration testing scopes and outcomes.
- Analyze test results, provide optimization recommendations, and present findings to technical and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK.
- Proven experience delivering performance and non-functional testing for large-scale, complex technology projects.
- Advanced knowledge of performance testing for UIs, APIs, and databases, including practical experience with JMeter.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
- Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in leadership or mentoring of testing teams.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar issue management platforms.
