QA Test Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid – Manchester or Leeds (3 days on site per week, 2 days remote)

Salary: £32,000-£38,000

What you will do

• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases aligned to project requirements and user stories.
• Represent QA within both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, participating in ceremonies and solution design reviews.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle including logging, tracking, prioritizing, and retesting via JIRA.
• Identify manual test cases suitable for automation and collaborate with the automation team.
• Conduct performance and load testing and ensure functional/non-functional requirements are met.
• Coordinate with internal business areas and third-party providers to ensure high-quality delivery.

Requirements

• ISTQB/ISEB certification (Foundation or Advanced level).
• Background in the Financial Services industry.
• Extensive experience in software testing using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven experience in Web and Mobile application testing.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Browserstack, and Postman.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Manchester or Leeds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Web technologies, specifically Java platforms.
• Experience with IBM iSeries/AS400, DB2, or RPG.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Cloud and Microservices (AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
