What you will do

• Lead AI strategy by implementing Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and LLM retrievability workflows.
• Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for complex, high-touch client relationships using diplomacy and active listening.
• Oversee end-to-end execution of long-form web content, ensuring all output meets rigorous brand voice and style standards.
• Mentor and coach direct reports, providing professional development, actionable feedback, and clear career pathing.
• Collaborate with practice leadership on resource planning, SOW development, and project estimating.
• Support new business pitches and develop strategic case studies to validate team success.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in content strategy, SEO, or digital writing.
• Proven track record of managing direct reports and leading complex client accounts in an agency setting.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Kansas City, MO.
• Strong proficiency with Generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and knowledge of prompt engineering.
• Deep understanding of SEO principles, accessibility best practices, and emerging search trends (GEO).
• Master-level writing and editing skills, including proficiency with AP Style.
