Assistant Plant Controller

What you will do

• Oversee financial reporting activities and ensure compliance across plant finance functions.
• Support the Plant Controller with manufacturing accounting, internal controls, and accurate financial transaction processing.
• Lead month-end closing: compute monthly results, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare and administer Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Short-Term Forecast (STF), and Long-Range Financial Forecast (LRFF), analyzing and explaining variances.
• Manage product cost reporting and provide financial analysis for plant targets and key business decisions.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external auditors, supporting SOX compliance and resolving audit inquiries/findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
• Seven or more years of relevant accounting and finance experience (or equivalent education and experience).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, company policies, and applicable state/federal laws.
• Experience with SAP (uploads and builds).
• Cost accounting and product costing experience.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior management and cross-functional teams.
