TL;DR

Employment Adviser (Consulting): Providing tailored one-to-one support to individuals on the Restart Scheme to help them secure sustainable employment with an accent on building rapport, identifying personal barriers, and creating individualized action plans. Focus on meeting performance targets, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality employability services.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Southampton office, with occasional travel required within Hampshire.

Salary: £27,976 – £29,000

What you will do

• Assess customer starting positions and identify individual needs and barriers to employment.
• Build positive working relationships and provide guidance to boost customer confidence and skills.
• Create and execute individualized action plans to ensure effective progress toward employment.
• Recommend vacancy and training solutions in consultation with the internal team.
• Maintain accurate customer records in compliance with quality and contractual standards.
• Develop local networks with employers, Job Centre teams, and funding providers.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the Southampton office.
• Experience in a customer or client-facing and target-driven environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload within a larger team.
• Pragmatic and solution-focused approach with the confidence to challenge mindsets.
• Passion for supporting people to make positive changes.
