What you will do

• Execute Android compatibility tests (e.g., CTS), identify failures, and provide test reports.
• Triage defects and support root-cause analysis; change and upstream code to resolve compatibility test suite failures.
• Design and develop tools/scripts to automate the test workflow.
• Set up and configure test equipment and environments for test execution and automation (including simulation or target hardware).
• Continuously improve the test process and drive defect resolutions to meet SW release code quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, or related occupation.
• Seven (7) years of experience with software development and validation on Linux-based open-source operating systems, including Android and custom Linux/in-house OS.
• Experience with end-to-end development of software solutions and validation tools using object-oriented/functional/cross-platform/scripting/general-purpose languages including Python, Java, C, C++, and Javascript.
• Experience creating and executing system-level automated test frameworks and validating system definition documents and requirements for automotive, embedded, and consumer-oriented devices.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile and SCM tools including GitHub, Git, Gerrit, OpenGrok, JIRA, and JIRAAlign, plus CI/CD automation using GitHub and Jenkins.
