QA Engineer (Embedded Automotive)

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Milford, Michigan. This role is hybrid and requires reporting to the office at least 3 times a week.

What you will do

• Develop and execute validation plans for low-level HWIO features across BSP domains.
• Perform software verification and regression testing on target benches and hardware setups.
• Analyze regression results, identify failures, and provide clear technical documentation.
• Investigate issues, support root-cause analysis, and partner with developers to close defects.
• Support both manual and automated test execution to ensure software readiness.
• Improve test coverage, validation workflows, and common scripting tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of testing experience in embedded software or hardware-connected environments.
• Strong knowledge of digital/analog I/O and communications interfaces.
• Ability to work with bench hardware, lab equipment, and regression reports.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Milford, Michigan.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive embedded systems and controller validation.
• Familiarity with C, low-level driver behavior, or HWIO concepts.
• Proficiency with tools like Lauterbach, Jenkins, or Jira.
• Experience with requirements tracing (CTRS/HSIS).
