Junior Legal Counsel

TL;DR

Junior Legal Counsel (Legal & Compliance): Supporting the legal team with KYC/CDD analysis, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance for environmental markets with an accent on risk assessment and business support. Focus on developing expertise in compliance frameworks and providing legal guidance to the Energy department.

Location: Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands (On-site)

What you will do

• Analyze new prospects to ensure KYC/CDD documentation meets internal standards.
• Draft, analyze, and negotiate various international contracts.
• Conduct compliance controls to ensure adherence to laws and regulations before transaction execution.
• Develop and review legal and compliance policies.
• Provide legal support to the Energy department regarding client acceptance.

Requirements

• Master's degree in law.
• 1–2 years of experience as a corporate lawyer in a commercial environment or law firm.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (Spanish or Italian is a plus).
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a critical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
