Legal Counsel (Technology Services)

What you will do

• Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal guidance to the Netherlands business and support high-impact legal work across Europe.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, technology, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial IT and technology services agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support complex transactions and strategic initiatives while partnering with senior business stakeholders.
• Support public sector and defence customers in the Netherlands in connection with security-clearance requirements.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with a Dutch law degree, LL.M., or equivalent legal qualification.
• Typically 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, and IT law.
• Strong experience in corporate and commercial law, ideally including complex, large-scale, or technology-related contracts.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial IT agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in a leading law firm or as in-house counsel within an international organisation.
• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• More senior experience may be considered depending on expertise and business fit.
• French or another major-market language.
• Holding, or being eligible to obtain, a VGB (Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) security clearance to support public sector and defence customers in the Netherlands.
