Location: Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid: up to 2 days remote per week).

Salary: €65,000–€80,000 annually.

What you will do

• Advise on Dutch and EU commercial and regulatory law while building the legal posture from the ground up.
• Own the legal strategy for international expansion, ensuring efficient and compliant market entry.
• Partner with Product, Growth, and Commercial teams to launch new offerings and partnerships.
• Scale compliance infrastructure to support rapid growth across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage GDPR and privacy frameworks, ensuring they are embedded into product development.
• Translate complex regulatory shifts into clear, actionable strategic guidance for the business.

Requirements

• Strong legal background in Dutch law (education, in-house, or law firm experience).
• 3+ years of market experience working in the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (C1+ level).
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity and driving multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Relevant industry exposure in financial services, insurance, or tech.

Nice to have

• Experience with EU law.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
