Salary: $39.84 – $41.73 per hour

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, engines, and transmission components.
• Maintain hydraulic systems, including snowplow equipment and attachments.
• Calibrate and test truck sanding systems for municipal operations.
• Perform assembly, disassembly, and modification of construction equipment components.
• Inspect and operate oxyacetylene torches for repair tasks.
• Ensure compliance with City Health and Safety policies and proper use of PPE.

Requirements

• Secondary School Diploma required.
• Certificate of Qualification – Truck and Coach Technician (310T) required.
• Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
• Five years of proven experience as a mechanic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and shift work as required.

Nice to have

• Certificate of Qualification – Automotive Service Technician (310S).
• Certificate of Qualification – Heavy Equipment Mechanic (421A).
• Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) certifications (ICE-P and ICE-NG).
• Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate.
• Valid Class ‘DZ’ Ontario Driver’s License.
