What you will do
- Own and maintain the development and manufacturing schedule for Montreal-based subsystem programs.
- Serve as the coordination hub between the Montreal engineering team and US-based program leadership.
- Manage component suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure alignment with internal timelines.
- Identify and track risks, maintaining a risk register and resolving blockers with technical leads.
- Prepare and deliver regular status updates on schedule health and program milestones.
- Develop and implement effective project management processes for a growing hardware team.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of project or program management experience in complex hardware development.
- Direct exposure to spacecraft, satellite component, or precision hardware development.
- Working understanding of subsystem development lifecycles from requirements to manufacturing.
- Ability to track interdependencies across mechanical, electrical, and integration workstreams.
- Must be eligible for Canadian security clearance and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) compliance.
- Strong communication skills for working with both on-bench engineers and remote leadership.
Nice to have
- Experience with precision mechanical or electromechanical component development (e.g., reaction wheels, actuators).
- Familiarity with rate manufacturing ramp-up for flight hardware.
- Experience coordinating across geographically distributed teams (US-Canada).
- Proficiency with scheduling tools like Wrike, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
