Senior Java Backend Developer / Technical Lead (Java)

Location: Onsite in Luxembourg

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of new features and system enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor Java developers, performing code reviews to promote best practices.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues through root cause analysis and second-line support.
• Drive technical decisions and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing solutions.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience with JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Proficiency with Maven, Git, JUnit, and CI/CD practices.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Experience within the financial services or banking sector.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Liquibase or SOAP Web Services.
• Familiarity with secure, high-availability, and mission-critical enterprise applications.
