What you will do
- Define and evolve SLIs and SLOs for critical product journeys.
- Standardize observability, dashboards, and service health visibility across engineering teams.
- Investigate and resolve bottlenecks across application, database, and system layers.
- Build structured load testing workflows to validate system behavior under peak traffic.
- Design AI-assisted workflows for anomaly analysis, incident investigation, and performance insights.
- Partner with senior engineering leaders to raise company-wide standards for reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience improving performance, scalability, and reliability in complex systems.
- Experience defining or operating SLIs, SLOs, and service health frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of observability practices and tools like Datadog.
- Experience diagnosing tail latency, throughput issues, and performance variability in production.
- Strong communication skills for technical writing and cross-team alignment.
- Must be comfortable with an office-first, hybrid work model in Spain.
Nice to have
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Kafka, GraphQL, or ClickHouse.
- Previous experience in Performance or Reliability Engineering.
- Interest in modern AI tools and agentic workflows.
- Experience operating production systems at scale.
