TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the U.S. with periodic onsite collaboration in Laurel, Maryland, approximately every six weeks.

What you will do

• Build and integrate LLM-enabled capabilities into secure application workflows.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation and agentic-AI components.
• Design prompts, system instructions, and inference workflows for mission needs.
• Connect AI capabilities with backend services and decision-support processes.
• Evaluate AI outputs for grounding, reliability, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security professionals, and DevSecOps teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S.
• Four or more years of experience in AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in AI/ML or a related field.
• Hands-on experience delivering LLM-enabled software and RAG capabilities.
• Practical knowledge of agentic AI and inference pipelines.
• Ability to explain technical contributions and design decisions clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience moving AI capabilities from prototypes to operational software.
• Familiarity with secure software development and DevSecOps practices.
• Exposure to classified or controlled development environments.
• Experience with containerized OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Background in defense, government, or aerospace sectors.
