Staff AI/ML Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and implement production-grade machine learning systems for cloud and resource-constrained on-premises environments.
• Build and optimize ML architectures for threat detection, asset classification, behavioral analysis, anomaly detection, and natural language processing.
• Develop data pipelines and ML workflows supporting real-time and batch processing.
• Translate research concepts and prototypes into scalable production systems with OT detection experts.
• Establish data contracts, observability, model monitoring, versioning, testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
• Evaluate research and open-source models, then troubleshoot production performance across latency, accuracy, and resource utilization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years implementing machine learning systems in production.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python and SQL, plus experience with Go, Rust, Java, or a JVM-family language.
• Experience deploying ML systems with frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or HuggingFace.
• Experience with MLOps, model versioning, monitoring, pipeline orchestration, containerized deployment, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, stream processing, message queuing, and medium-to-large-scale datasets.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, or advanced NLP.
• Cybersecurity knowledge in threat detection, threat intelligence, or ICS/OT operations.
