What you will do

• Spend the initial weeks of engagements performing the actual operator's job to understand constraints and requirements from the inside.
• Rebuild business functions from first principles using GenAI and LLM systems.
• Ship production-grade AI solutions that move business metrics rather than just delivering scope.
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to redesign workflows and operational processes.
• Develop and own evaluation suites for non-deterministic AI systems.
• Maintain hands-on coding responsibilities while operating as a senior technical leader.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of production code.
• Must be willing to perform the operator's job (e.g., claims processing, underwriting) before writing code.
• Proven experience shipping GenAI/LLM systems to production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS (containers, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD).
• Fluent English proficiency required for senior stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a founder, CTO, or engineering leader.
• Domain depth in financial services, insurance, or healthcare.
• Experience with MLOps, PyTorch, or fine-tuning/distillation techniques.
• Data platform expertise (data lakes, streaming, real-time analytics).
