What you will do
- Act as the electrical SME across grid, solar, BESS, and data center projects.
- Produce and own detailed electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and protection schemes.
- Ensure compliance with AEMO technical standards, DNSP requirements, and AS/NZS standards.
- Manage grid connection works and validate fault level, load flow, and protection coordination studies.
- Support and witness testing, energization, and commissioning of HV infrastructure.
- Provide engineering assurance for technical due diligence and lender advisory.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, or renewables.
- Substantial HV experience specifically within the Australian market.
- Proven track record of producing and owning electrical designs independently.
- Deep expertise in substations, protection, and power distribution design.
- Working knowledge of the National Electricity Rules, AEMO, and AS/NZS electrical standards.
- Experience with commissioning and energization of HV infrastructure in Australia.
