What you will do

• Design, implement, and scale core Kubernetes platform capabilities across approximately 70 clusters.
• Lead modernization efforts, including migrating to a new CNI plugin to overhaul IP security rule management.
• Rewrite the core deployment service from TypeScript to Golang using performant Kubernetes operator patterns.
• Improve developer experience regarding service creation, deployment workflows, and operational best practices.
• Partner with Security to implement governance controls, least privilege access, and image signing.
• Mentor engineers on distributed systems and Kubernetes platform design while guiding high-impact architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in building and operating Kubernetes-based internal service platforms.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, including controllers, operators, CRDs, and networking.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, OpenTofu, or Pulumi.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment tooling such as Spinnaker, ArgoCD, Flux, or Jenkins.
• Must be based in the US or Latin America.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS infrastructure and EKS.
