What you will do

• Own the strategy and roadmap for financial and regulatory reporting, including Form 31-103F1 and CIRO Form 1 filings.
• Act as the primary Finance representative for Canadian regulators (OSC, CIRO) during examinations and inquiries.
• Establish scalable IFRS books of account standards, including parallel ledger maintenance and audit-ready controls.
• Collaborate with senior executives (Tax, Treasury, Legal, Board) to ensure capital adequacy and regulatory alignment.
• Drive the AI-first transformation and automation of reporting workflows.
• Scale the function by mentoring team members and managing outsourced service providers via KPI/SLA accountability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory reporting or finance within banks, fintech, securities dealers, or professional services.
• 5+ years of direct ownership of regulatory filings for Canadian securities regulators (OSC, CIRO, IIROC).
• CPA or equivalent designation.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and Canadian regulatory requirements (NI 31-103).
• Proven track record of operating as an organizational leader and influencing senior executives and the Board.
