Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Assess manufacturing capabilities and develop production strategies for aerospace and defense product programs.
• Design, optimize, transfer, and qualify tooling, equipment, documentation, and processes for assembly, testing, and repair operations.
• Resolve production issues, field failures, customer complaints, nonconforming materials, and corrective actions.
• Lead process improvements, lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Gemba activities, automation projects, and waste-reduction initiatives.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices, validation activities, preventive maintenance, calibration programs, and CAPEX projects.
• Provide hands-on support and training to production teams and present project updates to local and corporate leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Experience with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, technical writing, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Fixture design and proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and produce working prototypes.
• Understanding of basic, digital, and analog electronics, bills of materials, and product structures.
• Ability to lead automation projects from concept through implementation and negotiate with stakeholders.
