What you will do

• Identify funding opportunities and conduct donor intelligence research for the East Africa region.
• Lead the full proposal lifecycle, from initial assessment and Go/No Go processes to final submission and award negotiation.
• Collaborate with technical units and country offices to conceptualize winning project bids and amendments.
• Coordinate inputs from consortium partners and ensure strict compliance with donor and internal requirements.
• Support donor engagement and pre-positioning, representing IRC externally to peers and partners.
• Develop business development training and conduct post-submission debriefs to incorporate lessons learned.

Requirements

• Experience developing humanitarian and development proposals for NGOs.
• Knowledge of strategies and processes for key donors including UK, EU, Germany, France, Scandinavia, and US.
• Experience collaborating with and supporting national and community-based partners.
• Proficiency in proposal budgeting.
• Fluency in English with clear and compelling writing skills.
• Must have the right to work in the UK, Germany, or Kenya.
