IT Security Manager - Customer Trust & Assurance (Cybersecurity)

Location: Riverwoods, Illinois, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office during the interview process.

Salary: $118,300–$207,400 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead responses to customer security questionnaires, assessments, audits, and live discussions.
• Scale customer trust and transparency programs, including the customer trust center and security knowledge base.
• Advise sales, account management, and customer security leaders on cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, risk, cyber, compliance, and other internal teams to address customer requirements.
• Develop security sales playbooks, training, messaging, objection handling, and case studies.
• Support contract security clause reviews, third-party due diligence, audit readiness, and product roadmap input.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, management information systems, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive cybersecurity or information security experience across multiple security domains.
• At least 5 years of customer-facing experience advising senior security, IT, or business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of access control, encryption, network security, identity and access management, incident response, data protection, privacy, and compliance.
• Experience with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, DORA, GDPR, risk assessments, internal controls, and audits.
• Strong communication, analytical, leadership, mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and program management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing and implementing scalable customer trust programs.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• CISSP, CISM, AIGP, AAISM, or an equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud technologies.
