What you will do

• Lead and coach small technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable applications meeting business budgets and timelines.
• Drive AI adoption throughout the software development lifecycle to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers and leaders to ensure project alignment and delivery.
• Review design plans and prepare detailed technical requirements and software design specifications.
• Manage goal priorities, delegate tasks, and improve engineering quality through workflow optimizations and code reviews.
• Hire and onboard qualified candidates to strengthen the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of distributed software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Manager or Lead position.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Proficiency with Spring, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, and GIT.
• Experience working in OS X and Linux environments within a Scrum and DevOps framework.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and building JSON or REST services.
• Experience working with 3rd party APIs, AWS APIs, and Docker or other containers.
• Knowledge of large-scale distributed web applications and Test Driven Development (TDD).
