What you will do
- Review and edit manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and digital materials for grammar, spelling, and clarity.
- Ensure strict alignment with house, client, and journal style guides.
- Provide actionable editorial feedback using digital markup tools and tracked changes.
- Verify scientific accuracy by checking data, references, and source materials against SOPs.
- Coordinate with scientific teams to resolve discrepancies and manage copyright permissions.
- Proof typeset copy and liaise with the studio for layout and resolution adjustments.
Requirements
- Life sciences degree required.
- 1+ year of experience in medical communications or with medical journals.
- Highest standards of English spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and EndNote.
- Experience with digital markup and professional editing tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
