Production Editor, Copy

Location: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, OR, or Austin, TX; onsite five days per week for 2–3 months at a time on specific projects, remote at other times

Salary: $75,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Copyedit decks and proofread design comps and website builds in partnership with copywriters.
• Review copy across multiple product placements to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Set up copy decks from templates and create templates when needed.
• Communicate global copy changes across multiple deliverables and draft alternative versions for global partners.
• Draft accessibility copy using templates and AI tools.
• Manage copy through creative reviews and production, communicating clear edits to developers.

Requirements

• At least three years of copyediting and proofreading experience.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn new products in depth.
• Comfort learning new technology tools and developing systems that improve creative team efficiency.
• Ability to proofread quickly and collaborate proactively while considering multiple opinions.
• Experience working on a Mac; familiarity with Pages and Box is beneficial.
• Digital agency experience.
