What you will do

• Process and allocate funds from various payment methods including checks, credit cards, and direct debits.
• Prepare and deliver monthly and annual statements while syncing data with QuickBooks.
• Research and resolve bank reconciliation discrepancies and process necessary refunds.
• Manage daily billing postings and maintain accurate client files and charge types.
• Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and support for synagogue and congregant requests.
• Oversee data entry staff and provide guidance to ensure operational accuracy.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or 4+ years of equivalent experience in an AR role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and mathematical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and productively in a remote environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with QuickBooks, ShulCloud, or Monday.com.
• Prior experience in banking or synagogue financial management.
• Proven track record in driving process improvements.
