Accounts Receivable Specialist

What you will do

• Approve Salesforce sales orders and review invoices for accuracy and tax compliance using Avalara.
• Set up vendor records and upload electronic invoices and tax exemption certificates through customer procurement platforms.
• Manage billing inquiries, resolve invoicing discrepancies, and coordinate with sales operations, customer success, deal desk, and accounting teams.
• Manage collections by issuing dunning letters, contacting customers about overdue balances, placing accounts on credit hold, and recommending collection agency referrals or bad debt write-offs.
• Perform month-end reconciliation between Salesforce and NetSuite and maintain accurate customer interaction records.
• Provide audit documentation and support technical accounting and revenue activities, including process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, NetSuite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronic invoicing platforms such as Ariba or Coupa and tax platforms such as Avalara.
• Understanding of the full order-to-cash lifecycle, from signed quote and contract through collections.
• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
