What you will do

• Prepare and test adhesive bond specimens using internal procedures and ASTM standards.
• Perform materials characterization and mechanical testing for flight hardware and thermal protection system (TPS) development.
• Analyze experimental data and produce technical reports with recommendations.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including material specifications, process specifications, and test plans.
• Support material failure investigations and root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams on material selection and qualification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 0–3 years of engineering experience (internships or undergraduate research considered).
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card) required for ITAR compliance.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and travel up to 30%.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
