Senior Thermal Control System (TCS) Design Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own the development, implementation, and testing of research and production thermal control systems for spacecraft.
• Design and verify active and passive systems, including pump fluid loops, heat pipes, heaters, cooling systems, and supporting ground equipment.
• Plan and execute thermal-cycle and thermal-vacuum testing campaigns.
• Set up, commission, and maintain test stands, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and control scripts.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical test setups, analyze test data, and present results.
• Create test procedures, test reports, standard operating procedures, and production transition documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of thermal testing experience in a high-rate manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience sizing and testing fluid systems, including pumps, valves, accumulators, heat exchangers, and cold plates.
• Experience with thermal and power data acquisition, instrumentation, test planning, and execution.
• Strong experience with thermal and thermal-vacuum testing, including setup, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NX or AutoCAD for test fixture design is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical data analysis, Thermal Desktop, signal conditioning, pump testing, avionics testing, or refrigeration systems.
