What you will do

• Implement complex refactors and engine upgrades within Unreal Engine C++ source code.
• Profile GPU performance and resolve rendering bottlenecks like draw calls and overdraw.
• Optimize rendering for modern consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) within strict VRAM and memory constraints.
• Enhance Unreal Engine 5 features including Lumen, Nanite, and hardware ray tracing.
• Collaborate with technical art and animation teams to build custom rendering systems and shaders.
• Debug low-level graphics crashes and rendering anomalies across multiple platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional C/C++ experience in real-time rendering and low-level GPU systems.
• Deep expertise in rendering architecture using DirectX 12.
• Hands-on experience with profiling tools like PIX.
• Strong proficiency in authoring HLSL shaders, compute shaders, and PBR materials.
• Deep experience modifying and extending Unreal Engine 4/5 source code.
• Must be able to work core hours of 10:00 AM PST to 4:00 PM PST.

• Shipped titles in a Senior Graphics or Rendering role.
