What you will do

• Lead the architecture and implementation of complex software systems for hirify.global Tunnel, including cross-platform clients and edge services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and documentation to coding, testing, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with security, network engineering, and SRE teams to design scalable technical solutions.
• Review peer code and establish engineering standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable systems.
• Debug complex distributed system issues and contribute to long-term operational health.
• Drive the technical roadmap and identify opportunities for system-wide architectural improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development focusing on secure, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong programming proficiency in Go, Rust, C++, or similar systems-level languages.
• Solid knowledge of modern Unix/Linux development and runtime environments.
• Deep understanding of OSI Layer 3-7 networking protocols and network programming.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Basic understanding of software security and encryption principles.
