What you will do
- Lead technical discovery and map customer requirements to ZeroTier architectures across Layers 1-7.
- Design and execute structured Proof-of-Value (POV) engagements with defined success criteria and timelines.
- Deliver technical demos and architecture whiteboarding sessions for network engineers and CISOs.
- Architect solutions involving hosted/self-hosted controllers, flow rules, and air-gapped modes.
- Handle competitive positioning against Tailscale, WireGuard stacks, and legacy VPN/SD-WAN vendors.
- Translate compliance mandates (FIPS, CNSA 2.0) into concrete architectural designs.
Requirements
- 6+ years in solutions/network engineering, including 3+ years in customer-facing pre-sales.
- Deep knowledge of OSI/TCP/IP, NAT traversal, routing, and overlay/underlay separation.
- Proficiency with packet-level analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, or pcap.
- Strong Linux and cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) with VPC and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust, VPN technologies (WireGuard, IPsec), or container networking.
- Understanding of modern cryptography and NIST post-quantum standards (FIPS 203/204/205).
