What you will do

• Monitor freezers, refrigerators, and room temperatures, responding to alarms according to SOPs.
• Manage the receipt of biological samples, including unpacking, recording, and appropriate temperature storage.
• Conduct inventory of frozen samples and record data using the BSI management system.
• Retrieve and ship biological samples following IATA regulations and quality control verifications.
• Perform sample aliquoting using aseptic techniques and maintain detailed documentation.
• Coordinate with receiving labs to confirm shipping addresses and availability.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of general working experience.
• Must be based in Frederick, MD, USA.
• Fluent English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold freezer environments (-20ºC to -196ºC).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer functions.

Nice to have

• 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
