What you will do

• Provide direct supervision to professional and support staff in daily laboratory testing and data review.
• Ensure production work is consistently completed according to department goals and CLIA/CAP guidelines.
• Coach, motivate, and evaluate employee performance to meet company quality objectives.
• Monitor adherence to SOPs and safety procedures, documenting nonconformances and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with interdepartmental teams including Engineering, R&D, and Stats to execute solutions for operational trends.
• Plan and lead shift meetings and serve as the primary point of contact in the manager's absence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or biological sciences with 4.5+ years of industry experience (including 2 years in a clinical lab).
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields with 2+ years of industry experience (including 2 years in a clinical lab).
• Current CA State CGMBS or CLS license is required for roles in California.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
