What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and strict adherence to department procedures.
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to ensure zero discrepancies.
• Manage logistical printing of patient reports and triage billing inquiries.
• Coordinate sample pick-ups with courier services such as FedEx or Medspeed.
• Comply with HIPAA/PHI privacy and JCAHO standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional phlebotomy experience.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Houston, TX.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
• Knowledge of HIPAA/PHI privacy and general security compliance.
