What you will do
- Lead and manage complex client engagements as the primary technical point of contact.
- Provide advanced technical guidance on healthcare application environments and database architecture.
- Design, maintain, and optimize high-availability database environments and system integrations.
- Implement and support HL7 interfaces and healthcare interoperability workflows.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA security frameworks, including encryption and audit monitoring.
- Present technical findings, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations to client leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT systems administration, database management, or technical consulting.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with HL7 interfaces and integration engines like Mirth Connect.
- Experience supporting EHR/PM platforms such as NextGen, Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
- Ability to travel up to 75% to client sites as needed.
- Strong analytical and executive-facing communication skills.
Nice to have
- Prior consulting experience with direct client ownership.
- Familiarity with FHIR standards.
- Experience with reporting tools like SSRS, Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Tableau.
