Location: Hybrid in Nottingham, UK (40% office attendance required)

What you will do

• Lead an agile technical team, ensuring adherence to the highest technical standards and software quality.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data lakes.
• Take ownership of the codebase and technical applications to ensure long-term stability.
• Collaborate with risk, security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to GDPR, PCI DSS, and other data privacy standards.
• Identify overlapping technical requirements across teams to help define and build technology roadmaps.
• Implement clean, scalable, and re-usable code following SOLID principles and common design patterns.

Requirements

• Significant experience programming in Scala or Python.
• Strong expertise in Apache Spark, Hadoop, and AWS cloud services (Glue, S3, Step Functions).
• Proficiency with DevOps and IaC tooling, including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and Harness.
• Experience with AWS Lambdas, EventBridge, SQS, and Lake Formation.
• Proven track record of building and managing data lakes and complex data pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and ALM tools such as Jira and BitBucket.
