What you will do

• Review new investment opportunities in human health and conduct market research and scientific landscape reviews for diligence.
• Engage customers and domain experts, including clinicians, pharmaceutical business development teams, and health system operators, to pressure-test investment theses.
• Track and cultivate relationships with researchers at academic institutions and medical centers.
• Support portfolio founders by connecting them with health systems, payers, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and clinical research networks.
• Coordinate founder programming, events, and community-building initiatives.
• Lead special projects and support partner branding, marketing, writing, planning, and communications.

Requirements

• Self-starter with strong ownership, initiative, speed, and high standards of execution.
• Exceptional writer with clear, precise, and intentional communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the presence to interact with experienced CEOs.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar scientific areas quickly and ask informed questions of domain experts.
• Experience in a technology company, biotech company, health system, research environment, or as an aspiring founder.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable creating systems in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Background in biology or genuine curiosity about biology, medicine, and breakthrough science.
• Experience or strong interest in venture capital and early-stage founders.
