Director of Provider Activation (Healthcare)

Location: New York City only; in-person work 3–4 days per week with some remote flexibility. Office located in Gramercy.

What you will do

• Own provider activation strategy and execution from signed offer through the provider’s first patient.
• Diagnose onboarding funnel bottlenecks and build systems and processes to improve activation metrics.
• Hire, develop, coach, and manage Provider Onboarding Associates as the team scales.
• Design the operating model using CRM, sequencing, and LMS tools to automate low-value touchpoints.
• Build onboarding motions from scratch for Medical and Therapy providers while defining shared and provider-specific infrastructure.
• Partner with Recruiting, Provider Strategy, Provider Enablement, Credentialing, People, and Product to improve provider supply and experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, ideally in a marketplace, provider network, or high-growth startup environment.
• Experience owning and structurally improving a critical funnel metric end-to-end.
• Previous team leadership experience with strong people management, accountability, and performance-management skills.
• Strong systems and automation instincts, including judgment about when to use AI automation and when to preserve human interaction.
• Comfort with cohort analysis, caseload modeling, capacity planning, and ROI analysis.
• Must be based in New York City and able to work in person 3–4 days per week.
