Customer Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Dresden, Germany; onsite customer work with travel within Europe

Salary: €52,000–€71,500 per year

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment alongside Senior Field Service Engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate directly with customers and support equipment performance at customer sites.
• Complete comprehensive training at facilities in Asia or the US, with travel and accommodation provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid German or EU driver’s license and authorization to live and work in Germany through EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa/residence permit.
• Ability to travel within Europe for customer site visits.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of customer service, field service, or related technical experience.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics.
• Experience using hand tools and digital multimeters.
