What you will do

• Own and mature the vulnerability management program, setting remediation standards and accountability structures.
• Establish and lead incident response capabilities, including detection, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee application security practices, including vulnerability scanning, code reviews, and penetration testing.
• Lead compliance and audit programs such as SOC 1/SOC 2 and PCI-DSS.
• Serve as the primary security authority for client-facing security reviews and due diligence.
• Coach and develop junior security staff while collaborating on hiring plans to scale the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of information security experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Proven experience maturing security programs across vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance.
• Solid familiarity with SOC 1/SOC 2 (SSAE18) and PCI-DSS frameworks.
• Ability to communicate complex security risks to engineering and executive stakeholders.
• Strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Must be based in Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, or the Dominican Republic.

Nice to have

• Experience in a SaaS, fintech, or highly regulated technology environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or SSCP.
