AI Security Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define and lead the AI security strategy and secure-by-design standards.
• Establish governance and monitoring for AI coding assistants and platform capabilities.
• Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for AI systems and integrations.
• Design and implement AI guardrails including prompt injection defenses and output validation.
• Architect security for autonomous agents and AI/ML workloads on AWS.
• Partner with SOC to build detection and response capabilities for AI-specific threats.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in security engineering, architecture, or application/cloud security.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience securing AI, ML, or GenAI systems.
• Strong knowledge of LLM and agentic system risks (e.g., prompt injection, excessive agency).
• Experience in cloud-native environments, specifically AWS (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker).
• Proficiency in Python for building security automation and tooling.
• Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal, and able to work from the office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud and cloud security certifications.
• AI security certifications from GIAC, Practical DevSecOps, or Offensive Security.
