What you will do

• Serve as the primary Incident Commander for high-severity security escalations.
• Define and enforce technical governance, KPIs, and detection standards for the external MSSP.
• Own the detection engineering roadmap, focusing on high-fidelity log ingestion and automation.
• Architect and scale security capabilities across EDR, Email Security, DLP, and IAM.
• Develop threat intelligence capabilities to translate external threats into proactive defenses.
• Design the future-state roadmap for the SecOps function and lead team expansion.

Requirements

• Must be based in London with the ability to work from the office Tuesday–Thursday.
• Extensive experience in modern Security Operations as an Incident Commander or Lead Responder.
• Strong strategic vision for SecOps, prioritizing automation over linear headcount growth.
• Cloud-native literacy with experience in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in automation using Python or similar scripting platforms.
• Proven ability to act as a senior individual contributor while possessing leadership maturity.
