What you will do

• Own the end-to-end application architecture for humanoid robot platforms.
• Define reusable software architectures spanning robotics, AI, voice, cloud, and edge systems.
• Lead technical decisions regarding robotics frameworks, SDKs, and deployment architectures.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to optimize system latency, compute, and power budgets.
• Integrate foundation models, agentic orchestration, and multimodal AI into robot applications.
• Lead, mentor, and unblock a fast-moving startup development team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or complex cyber-physical environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams in startup or R&D environments.
• Deep expertise in robotics domains including SLAM, motion planning, perception pipelines, and sensor fusion.
• Advanced architectural design expertise in C++ (17/20) and Python.
• Strong mastery of Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), containerized deployments, and embedded computing.
• Proven experience designing systems under compute, thermal, and battery constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience with Real-Time Linux (PREEMPT_RT) or RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS).
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Isaac SDK, Isaac Sim, or Omniverse.
• Knowledge of safety standards like ISO 13849 or IEC 61508.
• Experience integrating LLMs, VLMs, and agentic workflows for edge AI.
